Responsible for special projects for maintenance as well as care and upkeep of all plumbing-related items throughout the District.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. The approximation of frequencies and time allocation percentages are flexible and subject to the requirements of the organization.

Job Task Descriptions- Maintains water lines of septic tanks, disposal systems and lateral lines – Daily 20%
- Repairing and/or replacements of plumbing fixtures which include water closets, urinals, lavatories, classroom sinks and drinking fountains, sanitary lines, etc. – Daily 20%
- Completes work order and requests as assigned and maintain daily work log. Maintains vehicle in a clean and neat condition at all times. Mandatory participation in the on call for department. – Daily 15%
- Completes overload work orders and special projects assigned by supervisor. – Monthly 10%
- General repairs and replacing of piping to food service equipment, grease traps, domestic hot water systems, water coolers, swimming pool pumps, heaters and filters. – Weekly 10%
- Adjusts all plumbing to use the minimum quantity of water. – Annually 5%
- Follows up to ensure that all piping or plumbing and utility systems are repaired and/or replaced. – Annually 5%
- Maintains a stock of materials in order to repair the emergency situations caused by breaking pipes, etc. – Annually 5%
- Assumes supervisor duties when plumbing supervisor is not available. – Monthly 5%
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested. – Daily 5%
- Total – 100%
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum QualificationsThe minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Four (4) years of plumbing experience
- Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
- Colorado driver’s license
- Journeyman license
- Must obtain Certified Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention Device Tester within six (6) months of employment.
