Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) — Behavioral Health Travel Nurse — Englewood, CO

Psychiatric RN (Behavioral Health) — 13-week travel contract in Englewood, Colorado. Night shift (12-hr), caring for adolescents and adults in a 96-bed behavioral health hospital. Join our mental health nursing team near Denver and the Rocky Mountains.

• Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) / Behavioral Health Nurse / Travel Nurse
• Location: Englewood, CO 80112 — Denver area; easy access to the Rocky Mountains
• Setting: 96-bed behavioral health hospital with four specialized units
• Patient Population: Adolescents (13–17 years) and Adults (18+)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night shift nursing job
• Hours: 36 hours/week (including scheduled weekends)
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract (start date: March 23, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910–$2010/week

Be part of a supportive behavioral health team providing acute stabilization and compassionate care. This psychiatric RN role offers hands-on experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and working with dual diagnosis/SUD and medical/behavioral populations.

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Colorado or a Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; behavioral health experience preferred
• Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
• Comfortable working with adolescent and adult populations
• Ability to float to all units as needed
• Preferred experience:
  
  behavioral health, dual diagnosis, medical co-morbidity, CIWA and COWS assessments
• Dress code:
  Navy scrubs

• Provide patient-centered psychiatric nursing care to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises
• Perform patient assessments, monitor status, implement and document care plans in the HCS EHR
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention to maintain a safe environment
• Conduct CIWA and COWS assessments when indicated (substance use disorder management)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support stabilization and recovery
• Float between adolescent, adult, dual diagnosis, and SUD units as needed; maintain approximate patient ratios (1:12 adolescent/adult; 1:10 dual diagnosis/SUD)
