Join a dedicated team as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) in the Behavioral Health Division at a 96-bed acute stabilization behavioral health hospital in Englewood, Colorado (80112). This Denver?area behavioral health hospital serves adolescent and adult populations across four units, offering an excellent travel nursing opportunity in psychiatric nursing, mental health nursing, and dual diagnosis/SUD care.

• Setting: Behavioral Health Hospital — 4 units, 96 beds (adolescent & adult psychiatric nursing)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — night shift psychiatric RN
• Hours per Week: 36 (including weekends)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 per week
• Patient Ratios: 1:12 (Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, Adult Acute); 1:10 (Adult Dual Diagnosis / SUD)
• Electronic Health Record: HCS EHR
• Scrub Color: Navy

• Active RN license (Colorado or compact state) — travel nurse licensure accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (behavioral health / psychiatric nursing experience preferred)
• Strong de-escalation, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication skills
• Ability to float across all units to meet patient care needs
• Preferred: experience with behavioral health, dual diagnosis, or medical + behavioral care; competency performing CIWA and COWS assessments

• Deliver high-quality psychiatric nursing care to adolescent (13–17) and adult (18+) behavioral health patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient progress in the HCS EHR using mental health nursing best practices
• Implement de-escalation techniques and provide crisis intervention to maintain a safe therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, therapists, social workers) to develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Perform CIWA and COWS assessments when indicated for withdrawal management (preferred)
• Float between units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs

• Hands-on clinical experience in a specialized behavioral health hospital — ideal for psychiatric nurses and mental health RNs
• Work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on acute stabilization and recovery
