The manager provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided for patients. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, and operational functions. Maintains 24‑hour accountability. Demonstrates Swedish Memorable Care initiatives, encompassing both patients and employees.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate nursing care activities and ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and administration.
- Encourage continuous education and professional development of the care team.
- Assume 24‑hour accountability for integration of interpersonal aspects in all patient care.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or active multistate nursing licensure;
Current BCLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. - Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related health field preferred; graduate of a certified nursing school.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required; previous management experience preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of the nursing process; ability to plan and provide delivery of nursing services; strong communication skills (oral and written); capacity to maintain constructive relationships; competence in counseling and guidance of personnel; leadership in negotiating healthcare changes; dedication to innovative patient care delivery.
