Senior UX Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer who will be responsible for improving the user’s experience of using a product, such as making it easier to use and more enjoyable. This typically applies to computer hardware or software. A portfolio of previous work may be necessary to be hired for this position, and UX designers work with developers, analysts, and other designers to determine changes and preferences in the market.

UX designers may design and create wireframes for products, as well as develop and test prototypes, and actual end-users are often used to determine whether a product can be used as intended. After testing is complete, modifications should be introduced and more testing will be carried out until the product reaches its best form. Much of this work is done on teams, though there are also individual responsibilities which include meeting time-constraints.

After the product has been introduced to the market, it must then be evaluated for success and feedback from customers, and modifications may be made for future editions.

This is a 12-month contract with extensions and permanent conversion possible, pay rate $55-$65/hour.

• 7–10+ years in UX design; 3+ years in senior roles leading end-to-end design.
• Portfolio: 3–5 case studies showing research, prototypes (Figma/Proto Pie), and measurable impact.
• Tools:
  Advanced Figma (components, design systems), Photoshop/Adobe CC, Proto Pie.
• Jira for Agile workflows.
• Hands‑on usability testing with end‑users; ability to turn insights into IA and flows.
• HTML/CSS proficiency; collaborates effectively with developers.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in DTC 4 days/week Cable knowledge.
