Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeping) II – Full‑time – $22.75‑$25.56/hr

Englewood, CO – Hilton Garden Inn Denver South Park Meadows Area

Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well‑organized and safe hotels for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Pre‑cleaning and stocking: complete pre‑cleaning duties, stocking room supplies and tools on assigned work cart, attend morning stand‑up meeting, assist with dirty linen.
  • Clean and stock rooms: thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms as assigned per shift.
  • Additional cleaning projects: as assigned by direct supervisor in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, room deep cleaning activities.
  • Guest relations: greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile; use guests’ names whenever possible.
  • Recovery: handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Hotel knowledge: strong knowledge of all features of the hotel facility and amenities.
  • Events: awareness and support for all groups and events at the hotel.
  • Technology: understanding of relevant technology for each role.
  • Phone etiquette: answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
  • Spotless cleanliness: keep all areas, both front and back of house, clean and well‑organized.
  • Pitching in: pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
  • Hospitality while cleaning: greet every guest happily with a smile, by name if possible, while cleaning.
  • Product consistency & quality: complete checklists to 100% accuracy; complete shift handover reports accurately and on time.
  • Flawless uniform: wear a clean, approved uniform, be well‑groomed, wear a nametag and smile at all times.
  • Teamwork: communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally; exhibit a can‑do attitude and collaborate with all team members.
Success Metrics
  • Happy guests – Management performance ratings, guest satisfaction scores/intent to return.
  • Spotless cleanliness – GM/AGM spot checks, leadership walk‑throughs, guest ratings/reviews.
  • Product consistency & quality – checklist tracking, management performance ratings, guest ratings.
  • Teamwork – management performance ratings.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience in hospitality, service, consumer‑facing franchise or related field preferred.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
  • Can handle pace and pressure; work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations.
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution, communication skills.
  • Desire to serve all guests.
  • Age requirement: 18 years of age or older.
  • Schedule and travel: willingness to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Clock‑in/out: arrive and clock in on time; never work while off the clock; clock out at scheduled end time.
  • Breaks: clock in/out for breaks at designated times.
  • Call outs: provide sufficient notice as directed by supervisor.
Physical Working Demands & Working Environment
  • Stooping, bending at waist; climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding.
  • Balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking for long distances.
  • Repetitive wrist, hand, finger motions.
  • Lifting certain housekeeping items such as linens, trash, vacuums.
