Instructional Assistant – 2024–2025 School Year

Are you passionate about supporting students with developmental disabilities in a dynamic, inclusive, and community-focused environment? TJS is seeking dedicated Instructional Assistants to help implement individualized programming and foster growth in academic, vocational, social, and life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with classroom staff and specialists to implement student programs.
- Support students in independent living, hygiene, and community-based instruction.
- Collect data and implement treatment plans with fidelity.
- Attend clinical meetings, staff trainings, and home visits.
- Assist with assessments, IEP/BIP preparation, and progress monitoring.
- Prepare materials and lead group activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies (CALM).
- Ensure compliance with school, DHS, and CDE policies.
- Minimum age: 21
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- One year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Basic knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (preferred)
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and good driving record
- Maturity, reliability, and strong communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Excel
- Ability to interpret data, solve problems, and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working in active environments (e.g., swimming, skiing, camp outings)
- Able to lift/carry up to 150 lbs with assistance and engage in physical activities
