Job Description
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a finance professional with a strong accounting background to support complex financial initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. In this position, you will conduct in-depth research on accounting issues, create and review technical accounting documentation, assist in the preparation of SEC filings, and remain current with relevant US GAAP and reporting requirements. You will play a key role in interpreting data, recommending best practices, and supporting various ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing the organization’s financial health.
Compensation Range (pending experience): $110k-$125k
QualificationsRequired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, including time in a public accounting environment
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and the ability to interpret technical accounting guidance
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of basic financial reporting tools and concepts
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented and capable of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Preferred
Skills:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA licensure
- Familiarity with SEC reporting, lease accounting, and revenue recognition rules
- Exposure to broader financial concepts beyond accounting, including forecasting and internal controls
