Application Engineer

Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support customer technical needs within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for reviewing customer requirements, recommending appropriate product and service solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and equipment.

The Application Engineer partners closely with sales, engineering, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges during pre- and post-implementation phases. The ideal candidate brings strong technical troubleshooting capabilities, hands‑on experience with industrial sensors and controls, and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Support and resolve customer technical inquiries via phone, email, web chat, and Microsoft Teams.
• Review customer application requirements and recommend appropriate product and service solutions.
• Provide technical consultation to the sales team to ensure proposed solutions align with customer system capabilities.
• Estimate solution costs and assist with technical quoting when required.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve issues during implementation and post-installation.
• Promote applicable products and solutions to customers when appropriate.
• Develop digital technical support content for online customer use.
• Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the customer support process.
• Perform customer service functions such as order entry, quoting, stock verification, and invoicing as needed to streamline the customer experience.
• Develop technical knowledge and proficiency within complex product lines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a 2-year technical degree required; 4-year technical degree strongly preferred.
• Application experience with industrial sensors and controls within a manufacturing or related industry environment required.
• Machine repair or maintenance experience with industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to learn and support advanced sensor and control technologies.
• 3+ years of technical support experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

• Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 annual salary
