Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer or Design Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in designing lighting controls and low voltage systems for both vertical and horizontal projects. Candidates must have a strong understanding of electrical system design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and a preference for Revit. Bluebeam knowledge is essential, although training can be provided for Revit.

Responsibilities

* Design lighting and power systems for various project types.

* Perform electrical calculations using engineering formulas and software.

* Prepare point by point lighting calculations and ensure energy code compliance.

* Draft detailed project specifications.

* Research and apply code requirements for projects.

* Maintain project schedules and ensure timely deliverables to clients.

* Actively participate in project meetings and provide input on company processes and standards.

* Conduct internal QA/QC and provide quality service to clients.

Essential Skills

* Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical engineering or design.

* Proven experience in designing lighting controls and power distribution systems.

* In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).

* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI-32 (Civil 3D and Micro Station are a plus).

* Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage short deadlines effectively.

* PE License or EI/EIT Certification is a plus.

* Experience with transportation projects is advantageous.

* Ability to articulate strategies clearly and decisively.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with peers, superiors, subordinates, and customers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $50.00/hr.
