The programmer and engineer will be responsible for supporting our engineering and programming team in the analysis of customer drawings, programming these drawings into manufacturing equipment, and ensuring efficient operations of EMJD technology and equipment. This role reports to our lead engineer.
Responsibilities- Analyze customer drawings and provide feedback on issues and concerns
- Assess EMJD's capability to fulfill customer demands
- Support with the preparation of customer quotes
- Process customer orders and create travelers to guide manufacturing
- Support purchasing efforts, including raw material, hardware, and special tooling
- Assist the manufacturing foreman and lead engineer in managing the production schedule
- Create laser and press brake programs
- Operate robotic press brake
- Provide design and engineering consultation to customers
- Implement productivity and automation initiatives across operational processes
- Operate all engineering software (including Solid Works, Trumpf Boost, etc.)
- Support the manufacturing team to ensure we meet customer requirements.
- Support production and shop organization and cleaning efforts
- Prepare and move metal materials in the shop
- Operate hardware installation machines
- Clean warehouse space and equipment
- Pack finished products on pallets for customer delivery
- Load and unload metal products onto and off of trucks
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in engineering or similar field preferred
- Experience working with engineering and programming software required; experience with Solid Works or related CAD software preferred
- Experience working with Trumpf and Amada sheet metal fabrication equipment preferred

- Ability to work under pressure
- Commitment to identifying problems and finding solutions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for eight hours per day
- Ability to pass a drug test (including marijuana) and commit to a drug and substance-free environment
- Compensation dependent on experience, starting at a salary of $48,500 annually.
- Benefits: health care, 401k match up to 6% of wages (after six months), paid holidays and paid vacation time, plus possible quarterly profit sharing bonuses.
- Hours:
Full-time, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
