Senior Systems Engineer

IDR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defense client for an opportunity in Englewood, CO. This role involves leading systems engineering efforts for next-generation military aircraft within a new aircraft design program. The company specializes in advanced aerospace solutions, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment.

• Lead systems engineering and design efforts for next-generation military aircraft within a new aircraft design program.
• Drive the conceptualization, design, development, and refinement of advanced aircraft systems, structures, and integrated subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing from concept through production.
• Support research, testing, certification, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
• Apply advanced aerospace engineering principles to develop high-performance, safe, and efficient aircraft solutions.

• Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, No
  
  Magic, or MATLAB.
• Advanced knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and industry-standard mechanical design principles.
• Experience or certification aligned with INCOSE standards.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Proven experience leading baseline definition and maturation in complex development environments.
