Weaver Consultants Group’s Denver office is seeking an Engineering Technician to support our Air Permitting and Groundwater Groups. This position provides landfill gas extraction, leachate collection, operations and maintenance services, groundwater sampling, and other media sampling for clients in the solid waste industry.
This role is primarily field based for multiple months of the year and requires work to be completed individually and occasionally with others. Some overnight travel and extended travel—within Colorado and to other states—will be required.

Primary Responsibilities- Landfill gas (LFG) system operations and maintenance
- Explosive gas monitoring
- Surface emissions monitoring
- LFG flare monitoring and maintenance
- Pulling and cleaning sub‑mersible pumps
- LFG system troubleshooting
- Conducting groundwater, leachate, and condensate sampling
- Attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and long consecutive hours, if needed
- Mechanical, technical and problem‑solving skills with a commitment to consistently perform high quality work
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Understand materials, methods, and tools used on‑site
- Construction or related field experience preferred
- Approximate 25% overnight travel (typically Monday‑Friday), with occasional last‑minute travel
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Clean driving record
