We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Systems Engineer to join a cutting‑edge New Aircraft Design Program team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of military aviation by leading the design and development of next‑generation aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles, extensive experience in systems engineering, and a passion for advancing technology to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Lead systems engineering activities for advanced aircraft programs, including requirements management, system design, integration, and verification/validation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, manufacturing) to ensure successful program execution from concept to production.
- Drive baseline definition and maturation through trade studies and performance tracking.
- Develop and refine system architectures, allocate functional requirements, and manage technical risks.
- Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- 14 years of progressive experience in systems engineering within aerospace or defense.
- Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional decomposition, systems integration, and V&V principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, No
Magic, MATLAB. - Advanced knowledge of MBSE methodologies and INCOSE standards.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Proven experience leading complex development programs and tracking Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs).
- Rare exposure to outdoor elements, hazardous materials, or loud noises.
