SUMMARY

The Public Information Intern will assist the Public Information & Grants Coordinator in developing content for District websites, social media, and newsletters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provides support to the Public Information & Grant Coordinator to develop graphics for social media, websites, and newsletters.
  • Provides support to the Public Information & Grant Coordinator to draft, edit, and design the District’s written and electronic publications.
  • Provides support to the Public Information & Grant Coordinator in taking photographs of District events.
  • Supports the relationship between Garfield County School District 16 and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and District staff.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
KNOWLEDGE OF
  • Demonstrated excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and directing multiple and complex assignments and projects.
  • Skill in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus.
