Job Description
Contract Length: 3 months (Requires flexibility)
Pay Range: $60-$75/hour
High-Level Tasks / Responsibilities Month of March- EAIC NOHLGA reporting
- Form B (related party detail for legal filing)
- Moody's Survey preparation
- GWSC and EAIC MDandA's
- Intercompany clearing (USD and CAD), wires, and reconciliations
- Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS) - Premium Exhibit for the year
- IFRS Accounting/Reporting for GWSC and EAIC
- STAT Accounting/Reporting for GWSC and EAIC
- Intercompany clearing (USD and CAD), wires, and reconciliations
- IFRS and STAT Account Reconciliations
- Form B for Financial Reporting
- Statutory Financial Reporting:
Prepare Blue Book annual and quarterly statements, including complex schedules (e.g., Schedule D - investments, Schedule S - reinsurance). - Solvency Monitoring:
Ensure the company maintains adequate reserves and surplus to meet obligations to policyholders as required by state regulators. - SAP vs. GAAP Reconciliation:
Manage differences between Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). - Regulatory Compliance:
Serve as liaison for state insurance department examinations and respond to regulatory inquiries. - Internal Controls:
Maintain accurate ledgers for premiums, claims, and commissions; perform regular bank and carrier statement reconciliations. - Blue Book Accounting Expertise:
