BILLING SPECIALIST

We're hiring a Billing Specialist for our Englewood, CO office. The Billing Specialist supports the Finance & Accounting Department by ensuring accurate job setup, production tracking, revenue recognition, customer invoicing, and accounts receivable integrity. This role serves as a key liaison between field operations and accounting to maintain accurate financial reporting and resolve billing discrepancies.

This role offers valuable hands-on experience with financial systems and processes, exposure to the construction industry, and a clear path for growth within accounting and finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* Review and post work-in-progress revenue journal entries to the general ledger with proper documentation

* Set up new jobs in accounting software (e.g., Spectrum), including coding and pricing updates

* Maintain and update pricing tables for unit-based billing

* Generate and submit accurate customer invoices in line with contract terms and SOX controls

* Reconcile billing and payment discrepancies using Excel (including pivot tables and V-lookups)

* Track unbilled revenue and ensure proper reporting with field documentation

* File invoices and revenue reports with supporting documentation

* Collaborate with field staff and customers to resolve billing issues

* Support accounts receivable integrity through timely reconciliation

* Perform additional financial or administrative duties as assigned

KEY

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree with 2+ years of related experience, or bachelor's degree in Accounting

* Experience in the construction industry is a plus

* Familiarity with Spectrum or other enterprise accounting software preferred

* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data analysis

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

* Excellent organizational and reconciliation skills

* Effective written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively on team projects

* The physical activity required for this role includes:

* Sitting for extended periods in an office environment

* Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching

* Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment

* Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds

* Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
