OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Associate to join our Englewood team. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting and analytics, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys optimizing processes through data-driven insights. This role supports multiple small entities and is key in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
Major Responsibilities- Prepare and process Federal and State tax compliance reports
- Prepare individual and entity tax returns
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including payroll and account reconciliations
- Assist in audits as needed
- Maintain a full schedule and manage deadlines effectively
- Follow strict protocols regarding file management and client confidentiality
- Input data accurately, schedule tasks, and verify job completion
- Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) daily
- Utilize Quick Books Online and Desktop proficiently
- Work within CCH accounting and tax software
- Other tasks as assigned
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build client relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a service-oriented attitude
- Active listening and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient understanding of GAAP
- Knowledge of Tax Basis Accounting (Cash and Accrual methods)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred, but not required
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar tax/accounting role is preferred
$85,000 – $95,000 per year. Compensation reflects scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, geographic location, and market trends.

Working ConditionsMust be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment, including a computer, office equipment, and telephone.
