Job Description:

Jr Accountant - Corporate Business Planning

Location:

Denver Tech Center (5 days onsite)

Rate: $20-23/hr

Overview

The Jr. Accountant will support Field Operations Corporate Business Planning with a focus on damage claim recoveries and centralized tool order processing.

This role offers strong exposure to the Business Planning, Operations, and Corporate Accounting-an excellent entry point into a great company with strong benefits and a supportive, laid‑back Denver-based team.

Team Environment

You'll work primarily with a small, highly onsite Denver team including the hiring manager, senior director, and analyst. The group is flexible, easygoing, and collaborative, but works in office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Damage Claim Recoveries (75%)

* Record daily deposits from lockbox and local check processing.

* Manage stop payments, reclasses, and ACH receipt reconciliations.

* Complete monthly damage claim reconciliations and reporting.

* Manage POs and NRCs for recovery-related expenses.

Centralized Tool Orders (25%)

* Manage AR for orders across all Management Areas.

* Process SAP Sales Orders for equipment deliveries.

* Maintain Smartsheet order data for regional visibility.

* Provide monthly spend reporting and support close, forecast, and planning data requests.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required

* 1+ years of professional experience

* Strong Excel skills: VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, large data sets.

* Knowledge of accounting and finance

* Organized & detail oriented

* Strong verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Skills

* Experience with Smartsheet (training provided), SAP, or Essbase Excel add-in.

* Telecom or financial institution experience (nice to have, not required).
