About the jobEnfield Carers Centre are opening a brand-new community club with daytime services and activities, in January 2026, called Connections. Our new club is in Ponders End, Enfield.
We are seeking experienced Support Workers as key members of a new team.
Who Should Apply?- The Person Specification provides you with a breakdown of the skills, knowledge and experience required to succeed in the role and highlights whether these are either essential or desirable to the role.
- This post is subject to an enhanced CRB/DBS check.
- Provide a warm, engaging, safe space older /vulnerable adults
- Provide compassionate person‑centred care and support
- Make a meaningful difference in the lives of those using the service
- Work closely with carers, family members and clients to achieve stated outcomes
- Assisting with low‑level mobility (e.g. walking, gentle support, wheelchair assistance)
- Facilitating or helping to deliver individual and group activities
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus 8 bank holidays

Hours:
35 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days and 8 Bank Holidays, per annum

It’s designed to reduce loneliness, promote wellbeing, and build a vibrant, inclusive space for social connection — especially for older adults, vulnerable adults and those with health conditions or who are isolated.

Connections has been developed in response to increasing demand for inclusive, community-based services, particularly for older adults as well as offering respite for Carers and families. It complements Enfield Carers Centre’s existing Carer support services by offering a space for continued growth, social engagement and meaningful activity.
Services OfferedConnections will offer a range of activities and support, including:
- Social gatherings and themed events
- Creative workshops
- Wellbeing activities such as mindfulness, relaxation, and gentle movement
- Refreshments and hot meals

Staffing StructureConnections is delivered by a dedicated and compassionate team:
- Operations Manager
- Daycare Coordinator
- Daycare Support Workers × 3
- Volunteers (including activity support, hospitality, and drivers)
