Boeing is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector in Enfield, CT. Responsibilities- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provides objective evidence of results
- Segregates and controls non-conforming items; performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, verifies certification on outgoing orders, checks parts for processing, reviews special orders, and uses measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, etc.). Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
- Conducts dimensional inspections per design records and documented AQL levels; conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
- Reviews and dispositions all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicates with vendors as needed; disposition and control of on-conforming products
- 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparator, and Smart scope
- Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
- Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
- This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
- Previous aerospace inspection experience
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
