Introduction

The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC) is recruiting for Correctional Stores Supervisors (Warehouse Supply Officers) for our warehouses that are co-located on the grounds of our correctional facilities in Enfield and Somers, Connecticut. We have one current open position, and this posting will be used to create a pool of candidates to draw from as vacancies occur. Selected candidates will be required to attend a 14‑week paid hazardous duty training at the Maloney Center for Training & Staff Development located in Cheshire, CT.

Position Highlights
  • This position is full time, Monday through Friday, on first shift (36.25 hours per week) and will perform and supervise inmate laborers in the performance of various warehouse and delivery functions for the Agency, within the entire State of Connecticut.
  • Examples of duties for these warehouse positions include, but are not limited to:
    • Ordering materials and supplies
    • Accepting incoming orders
    • Processing and packing orders
    • Conducting inventories
    • Delivering orders
    • Supervising and training inmate workers
