Work Based Assessor - Arboriculture and Horticulture
Capel Manor College has an exciting opportunity for a Work-Based Assessor in Horticulture / Arboriculture to join its apprenticeship team.
Responsibilities- Conduct interviews with prospective apprentices to determine suitable training pathways and identify organisational training needs.
- Plan, organise and undertake regular visits to apprentices in their workplaces to review progress, discuss learning experiences, handle documentation and address concerns related to their education.
- Organise and visit workplaces to ensure employers comply with course requirements and health and safety standards.
- Deliver classroom teaching for a Level 2 Work-Based Qualification, creating engaging activities, preparing lessons, providing feedback and marking assessments.
- Provide feedback to work‑based apprentices and employers from assessments and training plans, and liaise with tutors to ensure apprenticeship standards are met.
- Industry professional with experience in arboriculture and/or horticulture.
- Passion for land‑based learning and enthusiasm to share this passion with others.
- Ability to inspire apprentices of all abilities and demonstrate flexibility in responding to employer requests and rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
