Position Summary
Enfield Public Schools seeks an innovative, student-centered Assistant Principal to join the leadership team at Enfield High School. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative instructional leader committed to equity, academic rigor, positive school culture, and aligned with the mission and values of the Enfield Board of Education.
The Assistant Principal will support the building principal in fostering high expectations for students and staff, advancing instructional excellence, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, and strengthening partnerships with families and the community.
Required Qualifications
* Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator Certification (CTDOE 092).
* Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership or related field.
* Demonstrated leadership experience within a school setting.
* Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in secondary-level leadership.
* Expertise in data-driven decision-making and evidence-based intervention systems.
* Experience supervising certified and non-certified staff.
* Familiarity with restorative practices, culturally responsive leadership, and family/community engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Support development, implementation, and monitoring of high-quality instructional practices.
* Promote a safe, respectful, and positive school climate aligned with district expectations.
* Manage student discipline using equitable and restorative approaches.
* Assist in oversight of staffing, evaluations, schedules, and operational systems.
* Collaborate with teachers, students, families, and community partners to support academic and social-emotional success.
* Facilitate/supervise after school events/activities.
* Analyze data to improve instruction, school culture, and student outcomes.
* Uphold district policies, BOE mission, and professional standards of leadership.

Strong planning, follow-through, and ability to manage complex school operations.
