Production Engineer

Advanced Manufacturing | Electromechanical Systems
Enfield, North London

This well-established company pioneers the development of maritime and defence radar systems on a global scale. Due to company growth, they are looking to add the right individuals to their technical team.

Are you a hands‑on Production Engineer who thrives at the intersection of design, manufacturing and continuous improvement? This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how complex electromechanical products move from concept to production.

Working in a high‑technology manufacturing environment, you’ll act as the bridge between Design and Manufacturing, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), optimising production processes, and driving efficiency, quality and repeatability across the shop floor.

What you’ll be doing
  • Optimising and supporting manufacturing processes, work instructions and test specifications
  • Leading NPI activities from pilot builds through to full‑scale production
  • Supporting tooling, equipment and automation initiatives
  • Working closely with Quality to drive root‑cause analysis and CAPA
  • Applying Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement techniques to remove waste and improve flow
  • Providing day‑to‑day technical support to production teams
What we’re looking for
  • 2+ years’ experience in Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering
  • Experience with electromechanical assemblies (PCBs, motors, sensors, wiring, actuators)
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in high‑mix / low‑volume environments
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar)

You’ll be part of a business delivering mission‑critical technology, where engineering excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
