Teach Now is thrilled to be recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs for a welcoming and inclusive primary school based in Enfield, North London. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of children with additional needs.

You'll work with in a collaborative, friendly and forward-thinking team who share a commitment to inclusive education and emotional wellbeing.

The Role:

As an SEN TA specialising in SEMH, you will:

• Support children in Key Stage 1 and 2 with SEMH needs, including pupils with anxiety, trauma backgrounds, or behavioural challenges.

• Implement tailored interventions to help students self-regulate, engage with learning, and develop social skills.

• Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and therapists to ensure each child receives consistent support.

• Assist with the development and review of EHCPs, behavioural plans and learning strategies.

• Create a safe, calm, and nurturing space where children feel heard and valued.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or related emotional needs.

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.

• Ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils.

• Team player with excellent communication and initiative.

• Relevant qualifications (CACHE Level 2/3, TA certificate) are welcomed but not essential if you have the right experience.
