Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism & Complex Needs

Location:

Specialist SEN School, EN3

Hours:

8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Mon–Fri Start: ASAP INDLON

You will support pupils with autism, complex learning needs and non‑verbal communication in a specialist SEN school. Your role will involve both classroom and 1:1 support, helping students engage through structured routines, sensory activities and personalised communication strategies.

• Provide classroom support to pupils with autism and complex needs.
• Deliver 1:1 assistance, using sensory and visual supports.
• Help maintain structured routines and promote consistent behaviour.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to implement personalised communication strategies.

• Experience supporting children with autism and complex needs.
• Confidence using, or willingness to learn, PECS, Makaton or other visual supports.
• Calm, patient, and supportive approach.
• Commitment for the remainder of the academic year.

• Temporary position unless stated otherwise.
