Landscape Construction - Foreman

Position Overview

Jensen Landscape - A Monarch Landscape Company is seeking a Construction Foreman to provide guidance to landscape construction crews to ensure proper, safe, efficient, and timely completion of landscape installation projects. Reports to the General Superintendent.

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $36.00/hr location:
Carlsbad, CA. Salary information is provided in compliance with state laws and may vary by location, experience, and other factors.

• Works under the direction of the General Superintendent to oversee the work of multiple crew members.
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
• Train crews in Jensen safety procedures and conduct weekly safety and training meetings.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Submit time cards accurately on a daily basis.
• Communicate with management, customers, and vendors using an intermediate level of English.
• Understand contractual obligations for each job site and direct crew work accordingly.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the landscape installation industry.
• California Driver’s License.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Clean DMV record.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

• Constantly: talk, hear, see, sit, stand, walk.
• Ability to see near and far, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
• Frequent use of hands to manipulate tools and controls.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and to bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull materials.
