Legacy Care provides GERIATRIC CHRONIC ILLNESS CARE at home so that older adults with chronic illnesses can stay home (rather than move into a long-term facility) and be cared for in a dignified and life-enhancing manner.

We specialize in post-hospital, post-rehab care, especially for those who have lost their ability to walk or take care of themselves due to a medical incident or from spending too much time in a hospital bed.

We are looking to grow our team because we are adding new clients and that is where you come in. We are looking for four life enhancement caregivers who can work flexible shifts, short shifts, part-time or full-time, in Encinitas. You will be interviewed on the phone and then in person if you are a good fit. You will be carefully matched with the client so that your work is fun and enjoyable and pays well starting at $20/hr.

• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Light housekeeping activities
• Medication reminder
• Provide companionship
• Assist with errands and shopping
• Symptom management
• Documentation
• Reporting

• Current Active HCA (Home Care Aide) with previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Medical assistant, or similar role
• Current negative TB test or chest X-ray to rule out TB
• Reliable transportation
• First aid and CPR-certified
• Knowledge of light housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
