Job Summary: The Overnight Residential Counselor will be responsible for the safety and supervision of the clients at our 6‑bed residential treatment center. Overnight counselors must stay awake all night to ensure clients’ safety. Duties include chores to maintain cleanliness, inventory checks, and administrative tasks. The position offers training, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth.

• Be awake, alert, and active for the entire duration of the night shift (10 pm‑6 am)
• Ensure clients are in bed all night and maintain line of sight of all clients
• Check on clients every 15 minutes
• Walk through the facility and perform maintenance checks
• Assist with inventory checks and notify the facility manager of any needed attention
• Document all shift activity in KIPU
• Help keep the facility clean
• Attend and participate in monthly Treatment Team Meetings

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be able to stay awake all night; previous overnight shift experience preferred
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have at least 6‑9 months of experience working with teens with mental health or substance abuse
• Experience in an adolescent group home or similar setting preferred
• All schedules require at least one weekend shift
• Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks and child abuse indexes
• Possess a valid California driver’s license
• Must be willing to interact with COVID‑positive clients, as needed

• Previous work or volunteer experience with teens or in a group home (teens or adults)

• $21.00 – $27.00 per hour (future earning potential)
• Target starting hourly rate: $21.00
