Property Accounting Manager

CV Resources is partnering with a privately held industrial and multifamily real estate investment and management firm in search for a Property Accounting Manager to join their team.

• Lead and manage the month-end close process for assigned property portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, accruals, and reserves.
• Oversee and review CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations and billings to tenants.
• Ensure compliance with lease terms and proper application of recoveries, expense caps, and gross‑ups.
• Partner with Property Management and Asset Management to resolve tenant billing and reconciliation issues.
• Review and approve tenant billings, rent rolls, and recovery schedules.

• Supervise and review work performed by property accountants and/or senior accountants.
• Establish and maintain standardized procedures and internal controls across the portfolio.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.

• Manage and support external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and responses to auditor requests.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of commercial / industrial property accounting experience.
• Strong experience with CAM reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close.
• Hands‑on experience with Yardi (required or strongly preferred).
• Prior experience reviewing staff work or managing a team strongly preferred.
