We're seeking a Data Partnerships professional to own the end-to-end lifecycle of Dewey's data partner relationships. This role spans the full partnership journey—from identifying and evaluating potential data partners, to negotiating terms, onboarding datasets, driving co-marketing initiatives, and managing ongoing partner success.
You'll build and manage a portfolio of data partnerships that directly expand Dewey's catalog, drive revenue growth, and create value for our institutional customers. Your success will be measured by the quality and quantity of partnerships closed, revenue generated through partner datasets, speed of data onboarding, and partner satisfaction.
As one of the earliest commercial hires, you'll report directly to the CEO and help define how Dewey identifies, evaluates, and scales its data partner ecosystem. Responsibilities Partner Discovery & Acquisition- Identify and evaluate potential data partners that align with academic research needs and Dewey's strategic priorities
- Build outbound pipeline through research, networking, and industry engagement
- Conduct initial discovery calls to assess partnership fit, value proposition, and revenue potential
- Negotiate partnership terms, pricing structures, revenue share agreements, and contract terms
- Lead the onboarding of new datasets onto Dewey's platform in conjunction with our Data Product Management team
- Coordinate with internal teams (product, data, marketing) to ensure smooth integration
- Define data quality standards and work with partners to meet specifications
- Create partner documentation and metadata to support customer discovery and adoption
- Serve as ongoing relationship owner for a portfolio of data partners
- Monitor partner dataset performance, usage metrics, revenue generation, and customer feedback
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through new datasets, enhanced terms, or additional revenue streams
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to demonstrate value, alignment, and mutual growth opportunities
- Develop joint go-to-market strategies with partners to drive dataset adoption and revenue
- Coordinate co-marketing initiatives including webinars, case studies, and promotional campaigns
- Identify partnership opportunities that enable new product tiers, market segments, and international expansion
- Surface partner insights to inform Dewey's product roadmap, pricing strategy, and customer segmentation
- Partner with the CEO to build scalable partnership processes, evaluation frameworks, and playbooks
- Manager or Director-level experience (3–8+ years) in partnerships, business development, or related roles (experience in data, SaaS, or marketplace businesses is a plus)
