Bilingual Outreach Virtual Assistant

I'm looking for a bilingual Outreach Virtual Assistant who speaks fluent English and Spanish to help call families and verify student absences. This role pays $4–$7/hr.

About the Role:

This company is a nonprofit organization that helps schools reduce student absences by supporting families and removing barriers that keep students from attending school, and they are looking to bring on a bilingual Outreach Virtual Assistant to help with family outreach and attendance verification. You will call parents to confirm why students were absent, document the conversations, and help the team communicate clearly with families.
Many of the families the organization works with primarily speak Spanish, and the company currently does not have a dedicated Spanish speaker on staff. Because of this, you will often help translate conversations, assist Spanish-speaking parents, and support communication between the organization and the community they serve. This role requires a high level of empathy, patience, and professionalism, as you will often be speaking with families who may be dealing with difficult situations.

The right person should be calm, understanding, and able to make parents feel heard while representing the organization in a respectful and supportive way.

Responsibilities:
Call parents and students to verify attendance and absences
Log call outcomes and notes in tracking spreadsheets
Leave voicemails and send follow-up text messages
Support Spanish-speaking families during outreach communications
Assist with administrative tasks when outreach volume is low
