K12 Online School Substitute Teacher

Legacy Online School is seeking reliable and adaptable K–12 Online Substitute Teachers for fully remote positions. Substitute Teachers provide instructional support when assigned teachers are unavailable, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a structured, engaging virtual classroom environment.
Substitutes may be assigned to core subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) and electives across Elementary, Middle, or High School, depending on qualifications and school needs.
All new Substitute Teachers are required to complete a training and onboarding period, which typically lasts between one week and one month, depending on performance and readiness.
Deliver virtual lessons based on provided curriculum and lesson plans.
Ensure continuity of instruction in the absence of the primary teacher.
Maintain classroom structure, engagement, and positive student behavior in an online setting.
Follow school policies and instructional guidelines.
Collaborate with academic staff and report any important updates regarding student performance or concerns.
Be available on short notice when substitute coverage is required (as scheduled).
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
Prior teaching or instructional experience (online experience is a plus).
Strong classroom management skills in a virtual environment.
Comfortable using educational technology and online learning platforms.
TEFL/TESOL or similar certifications are a plus.
Substitute Teachers may be considered for transition into a full-time teaching role based on performance, reliability, and instructional quality.
