Remote Architectural Energy Drawings Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Architectural Energy Drawings Specialist to support the development and coordination of energy compliance documentation for New York City projects. This role is responsible for creating and revising energy plans from concept through final submission, applying NYC Energy Code requirements, and performing compliance calculations using approved tools such as Res Check and Con Check. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD experience, excels at coordinating energy and architectural drawings, and communicates effectively with architects, engineers, and project teams.

This position requires a highly productive, efficient, responsible, and reliable professional capable of managing revisions, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting DOB submission and review processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop energy plans from initial setup through final submission.
Apply and interpret New York City energy code requirements.
Evaluate the impact of design changes on energy analysis and documentation.
Coordinate energy drawings with architectural plans to ensure consistency.
Revise and update plans as required to maintain code compliance.
Perform energy compliance calculations using approved tools (e.g., Res Check and Con Check).
Prepare and maintain supporting energy documentation for DOB submissions.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to resolve energy-related comments and revisions.
Perform other tasks related to the role.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with teams, leadership, providers, and clients.
Proven experience using AutoCAD (2D, 3D), Con Check, and Res Check.
Ability to create New York City energy plans.
Experience modifying energy drawings.
Strong coordination skills with architectural plans.
Proven experience drafting energy plans.
Highly productive, efficient, responsible, and reliable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), preferred.
Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
