About Prism Studio

Founded in 2021 in Barcelona, Spain, Prism Studio is an independent video game development company focused on creating visually distinctive games driven by clear artistic direction, state-of-the-art tools and a strong visual identity. About

the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced 3D Artist to join our Creative Team and play a central role in visual development. Working under the direction of the Art Director and in close collaboration with the Creative Director and other disciplines, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, real-time 3D assets that meet both the artistic vision and the technical requirements of the game.

This role requires a high level of artistic judgement, technical proficiency, and production awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D modelling, texturing, and lighting and experience leading a team of artists. You will be expected to take ownership of assets from early visual exploration through final in-engine implementation, ensuring consistency, performance, and visual clarity throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality 3D assets, including characters, props, and environments, from concept through final in-engine implementation;
  • Work closely with the Art Director and Creative Director to translate artistic direction into production-ready assets;
  • Ensure all assets meet real-time rendering performance requirements and technical standards;
  • Apply strong knowledge of modelling, texturing, shaders, lighting, and optimization to produce efficient, high-quality results;
  • Provide and receive constructive artistic feedback, contributing to continuous improvement of visual quality and production processes;
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in the video game industry
  • Demonstrated ability to produce original, high-quality real-time 3D assets;
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in stylized art, including mastery of hand-painted textures;
  • Excellent understanding of anatomy, perspective, volume, composition, colour, lighting, and atmosphere;
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools, including Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop;
  • Experience working with real-time game engines (Unity and/or Unreal Engine);
  • Strong knowledge of modern UV workflows (trim sheets, texture atlases, etc.);
  • Ability to work across different artistic styles while maintaining consistency;
  • Fluent in English (native or professional level);
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt work based on feedback and critique;
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
  • Experience working in distributed or remote teams.
