Position Summary
Position Summary Hiring & Care Coordinator supports Care Tech Kansas by managing caregiver recruitment, hiring, and training while also coordinating services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) receiving Kansas waiver services. This role ensures proper staffing, scheduling, medical coordination, and compliance with Kansas state requirements, while serving as a key liaison between clients, caregivers, case managers, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and families.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources & Hiring (Kansas Programs)
- Post open positions and recruit caregivers to meet staffing needs for Kansas IDD, FE, and PD waiver clients.
- Hire, onboard, and train new staff members in accordance with Care Tech Kansas and state requirements.
- Maintain employee hiring records and documentation required for Kansas compliance.
- Support workforce needs to ensure continuity of care for Kansas waiver clients.
- Schedule all FE and PD waiver clients and caregivers in Axis Care.
- Maintain accurate schedules for all FE and PD clients and assigned caregivers.
- Communicate scheduling needs, updates, and changes with caregivers, clients, and families.
- Address and help resolve caregiver or client concerns related to scheduling or service delivery.
- Attend meetings for Kansas IDD clients with case managers, MCOs, and families.
- Assist clients and families in communicating with their assigned Kansas Care Coordinators.
- Track expired and expiring service authorizations for Kansas waiver services.
- Facilitate cooperation between MCOs, care coordinators, and clients to ensure authorizations are extended timely and services remain uninterrupted.
- Maintain compliance records required by the State of Kansas for all IDD clients.
- Keep records organized, current, and audit-ready.
- Provide medical coordination for assigned Kansas IDD clients.
- Schedule and manage all medical appointments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Track medical follow-ups, provider recommendations, and required documentation.
- Communicate relevant medical updates with caregivers, families, and care teams as appropriate.
- Experience in human resources, hiring, healthcare administration, or care coordination preferred.
- Experience working with Kansas IDD waiver programs (FE, PD, IDD) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Kansas MCOs and care coordination processes preferred.
- Experience with Axis Care or similar scheduling systems preferred.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and service quality.

- Office-based role supporting Kansas IDD and waiver services.
- Hours are 11 AM-5 PM M-F in the office with WFH opportunities as needed.
