Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Emeryville, CA, for a Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager will lead and oversee all HR functions, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and compensation and benefits administration.
Responsibilities include partnering with leadership to support organizational goals, maintaining positive employee experiences, implementing HR strategies and policies, and ensuring legal compliance. The HR Manager will help to foster a workplace environment that respects and values everyone regardless of role or position in the company.
Specific near‑term areas of focus would include:
- Compliance - for employees in several states including training and communication requirements
- Culture - helping to drive common culture for a hard‑working, busy team spread several sites (AKASH = Act with intent, Krush all goals, Adapt quickly, Safety first, Have fun)
- Recruiting/Hiring - establishing and leading a process to find, hire, and onboard candidates across a variety of functions
- Communication - finding ways to keep the team aligned across all locations and functions
- Organizational structure - help management in establishing new hires into the long‑term organizational plan
- Compensation and benefits - review and update policies in line with company growth goals
- Strong expertise in recruiting, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
- Proven skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- In‑depth knowledge of HR policies, compliance regulations, and employment laws.
- Experience in designing and managing benefits programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in an on‑site, fast‑paced, and innovative environment. - Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a fast‑moving tech or high‑growth company is highly beneficial.
This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with stock options that provide an opportunity to share in the company’s long‑term growth.
