Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer located in Emeryville, CA. The selected individual will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems and machinery components specific to the corrugated industry. Key responsibilities include creating innovative product designs, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for design, conducting testing and analysis, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing staff, to ensure successful project execution.

This role demands both technical expertise in machine design and a commitment to innovation to meet our customers’ needs.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design, with an emphasis on mechanical systems and machinery
  • Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, fabrication methods, and structural analysis
  • Significant experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Creo Parametric, Solid Works or AutoCAD
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to test and optimize designs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across teams effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in related fields are a plus
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry or machinery manufacturing is highly desirable
  • Proven track record of project management and meeting deadlines
