Adjunct Faculty – Cognitive Assessment
Starting Salary: $40 per hour (salary based on candidate experience and course enrollment).
Position SummaryAdjunct faculty are scholars and professionals who teach in their area of specialization. The primary affiliation of adjunct faculty is not with the university. Applicants will be considered for a candidate pool encompassing one or more of the subject areas outlined in this posting and may be called for appointment during the 2025‑2026 academic year.
Minimum Requirements- Education: Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Appropriate clinical and/or teaching experience in the areas of specialization and expertise.
- Licenses: Psychology license preferred based upon program need.
- Facilitate classroom and distance/distributed learning.
- Prepare course materials and syllabus.
- Coordinate and plan curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate learners.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Hold office hours and meet with students.
- Supervise research/scholarship mentoring.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
- Independent, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
- Flexible workflow management to meet departmental needs and deadlines.
- Hands‑on coaching to guide students toward task completion.
- Effective team collaboration and relationship building.
- Culturally humble communication with diverse populations.
- Highly motivated, focused, and results‑oriented.
- Discretion and tact in all interpersonal interactions; maintain confidentiality.
- Administrative decision‑making and judgment.
Direct Reports: Possible student teaching assistant.
Indirect Reports: None.
Office
Location:
On campus.
Work Hours: Standard office hours; occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
Travel: None.
