Position: Stepdown Nurse (RN) - Elyria, OH
Providing specialized care in a dynamic cardiac stepdown unit, this opportunity places experienced Registered Nurses in a critical role managing post-operative patients recovering from complex surgeries. The primary focus is on patients following CABG, valve surgeries, and heart transplants. Additional care extends to individuals recovering from lung surgeries such as wedge resections, lobectomies, and double lung transplants, as well as those requiring cardiac electrophysiology, catheterization lab procedures, and general cardiology treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in clinical condition promptly
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Facilitate patient and family education regarding recovery and discharge preparation
• Maintain accurate documentation according to regulatory and facility standards

Experience:

• Current RN licensure with proven Stepdown nursing experience
• Familiarity with post-cardiac surgery care including CABG and valve procedures
• Experience managing patients after lung surgeries and transplant procedures is beneficial
