Position: Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Elyria, OH
A nursing opportunity is available on a Cardiac Stepdown Unit at a large Academic Medical Center located in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This contract position calls for a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown care, providing critical support to patients transitioning from intensive care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing, particularly cardiac-related
• Ability to manage and monitor patients with complex cardiac conditions
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events or surgeries in the stepdown unit
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac parameters, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families on care needs and health maintenance
