We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist (Rotor Cell Team Operator Trainee) - 2nd Shift at our Elyria, OH location.
HoursMonday-Friday 3:00pm
-11:30am.
This role is eligible for a $1,000 bonus!

In this position, you will learn to adequately perform the duties and responsibilities of the Rotor Cell team certified operator occupation.
Essential Functions- Process rotors through various machining, EDM, and supporting operations in a team-oriented cell.
- Responsible for maintaining cell inventory.
- Set up and operate numerically controlled machines and other equipment.
- Make and verify any necessary corrections to program, set up, tooling and machine settings with assistance of the Supervisor and/or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Use various gauges when required.
- Provide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including but not limited to removal of burrs and edge breaks.
- Saw material as necessary.
- Clean and move parts as necessary.
- Pass an annual eye exam.
- Responsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices.
- Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes.
- Rotate to different workstations within the cell.
- Perform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the cell.
- Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.
- Inspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step in the cell.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Ensure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.
- Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
- Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR’s, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor.
- Utilize computer to access various databases.
- Experience:
CNC Lathe or CNC Mill required. Experience with EDM and/or CNC Grinder is a plus! - Knowledge:
- Must have basic reading and writing skills.
- Requires basic math skills to make necessary calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and trigonometry.
- Skills:
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructions.
- Must be able to develop programs from manufacturing outlines.
- Requires a working knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and selecting and dressing wheels for finish requirements.
- Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent. - Eligibility Requirement:
