Pay

Competitive starting hourly wage of $22/hr with a $1/hr shift differential.
Job Description
The Lead Assembler is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in monitoring the assembly processes, equipment, and personnel to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and quality.
This position is a full-time position, on-site at our Tape Operation plant located at:
Sugar Lane, Elyria OH 44035

In your role, you will be responsible for the following (but not limited to) :
Assist in communicating standards for process time, settings, and other specifications for optimum output and quality conditions
Provide tracking and feedback on results to staff and Production Supervisor
Assist in performing ongoing checks of equipment, materials, and product. Recommends or takes action as required.
Maintain a working environment free of unnecessary equipment and materials via 5S+ audits.
Comply with, support, and promote all Dura-Line safety policies.
Assist production with troubleshooting and resolving processing problems
Train Assemblers on equipment usage, procedures, and adjustments
Assist with selection of auxiliary equipment used in production
Performs all Assembler duties and responsibilities.
- Performs additional duties as required
What does Dura-Line need from you?
- At least 2 years of equipment/machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to perform basic assemblies, machine operation, and use hand and power tools
- Must be able to read a tape measure, have basic math skills and blueprint reading is a plus
- Must have good communication skills and ability to adhere to all safety guidelines
- Must be able to speak, read and write English, Bi-Lingual is a Plus!
- Your commitment to being a reliable and punctual team player. (Attendance on scheduled workdays is a must!)
- Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace.
- Your ability to push, pull, carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds without assistance throughout the shift.
- Your ability to work most of the time indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise and work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition.
- Your ability to remain in a stationary, standing position and also able to move around frequently. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
- Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift.
- Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment
- Work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises.
