Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Software Solutions Development Program (SDP)

Overview

The Software Solutions Development Program (SDP) is a unique three-year rotational program designed to develop future technology leaders who can bridge business needs and technical solutions. This program provides hands-on experience in software development while emphasizing strategy, collaboration, system design, and stakeholder engagement. The program is a great fit for candidates interested in the impact of technology decisions and curious about product strategy, process, and people – not just code.

Participants will rotate across multiple technology domains—including connected products, enterprise platforms, analytics, ERP systems, and intelligent automation—gaining a holistic understanding of how technology enables business outcomes. Through mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and structured development experiences, you will build the skills needed to influence technical direction, lead initiatives, and drive meaningful impact. This role is well-suited for individuals interested in growing toward technical leadership, solution ownership, or business-facing technology roles rather than deep specialization in individual programming tasks.

Graduates of this program will be well-positioned for roles such as technology lead, product owner, systems analyst, solution architect, and engineering manager.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software across multiple domains
  • Collaborate with product owners, business partners, and end users to understand problems and define solution approaches
  • Apply Agile principles and collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • Participate in technology planning, trade-off discussions, and design decisions
  • Apply and learn modern development tools and platforms (e.g. object-oriented languages, web technologies, databases, cloud services, and version control) while also contributing to design reviews, architectural discussions, and delivery planning
  • Facilitate communication of technical concepts between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Partner with mentors and rotation managers to set goals, track progress, and reflect on learnings at the conclusion of each rotation
  • Engage in elective lab projects to broaden experience in areas like Dev Ops, UI/UX, AI/ML, and cross-functional consulting
Who You Are

You stay aligned with your goals and stay productive. You convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives. You make new connections and build relationships in other areas and teams. You prepare content for communication that is impactful. You treat mistakes as stepping-stones and reduce risk by testing consequences.

For This Role You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical or analytical field
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, business processes, or product development through coursework, internships, or project work
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
  • Master's degree in software engineering or MBA
  • Engineering co-op or intern experience
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver software-enabled solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business or system requirements
  • Participation in project planning, stakeholder reviews, and/or solution design discussions
  • Exposure to enterprise systems, integrations, and/or end-to-end process flows
  • Experience leading or coordinating work across teams (with or without formal authority)
