Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Special Education Teacher position is available in Dayton, Ohio, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role offers a stable schedule of 37.5 hours per week, five days a week, ensuring consistent engagement with the student body.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid Ohio Special Education (SPED) Teaching Certification
- Experience working with diverse learners across K-12 settings preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education laws
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to students needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities
- Monitor and document student progress with fidelity and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians
