Job Description
The Lorain County Community College Children's Learning Center is hiring a student worker for its After‑School School‑Age Program. The hours are Monday‑Thursday, 3:30 pm‑8:30 pm. Applicants must be available to work this shift.
The program is part of a Gold‑Star Step‑Up to Quality‑rated childcare center. Students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to ECE students, but it is not a requirement.
Responsibilities- Work under the direct supervision of teaching staff and support classroom and center operations to ensure the children's safety and well‑being at all times.
- Assist assigned teachers with routine tasks that promote health, nutrition, and personal hygiene.
- Keep the classroom and center clean, neat, and orderly.
- Assist with inventory of supplies and materials; report needs to teachers.
- Help supervise the children under the direction of teachers.
- Assume other duties as delegated or assigned by the teacher.
- Must be enrolled for the current semester, a minimum of 6 credit hours at LCCC.
- Selected candidates must undergo an extensive background check.
- Must provide a doctor’s medical statement and proof of high school completion before employment.
