Cleaner - Peterston Super

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients.
• Cover other cleaners during periods of holidays, sickness, staff shortages and other absences.
• Occasionally assist the charge hand /Site Supervisor with the training of cleaning staff.
• Undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, steam cleaning, all site specification cleaning, builders cleans, recess cleaning and other cleaning not normally stated in the site specification.

• Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or a cleaning related discipline/environment.
• Basic understanding of the various cleaning tasks required to provide an efficient and effective premises cleaning service.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with members of the public and client officers.
• Be physically able to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and undertake duties in an effective manner.
• Positive and self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changes in priorities and demands.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours.
• Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate, Disability Confident.

Pay Details:
Grade 1, SCP 2, £24,413 (Pro Rata), £12.65 per hour.

Hours of Work / Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday.

Term time: 15 hrs/week (38 weeks).

Recess: 12 hrs/week (5 weeks).

Main Place of Work:
Peterston Super Ely Primary.
