Accounts Technician

About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Technician to join their Probate, Trust and Estate team within a well‑established and highly regarded practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented and technically strong professional to develop specialist expertise in a niche and rewarding area of accountancy.

The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of probate, trust, and estate matters, working closely with experienced professionals and clients. • Preparing draft grants of probate applications
• Capturing estate data using specialist software to generate forms and computations
• Drafting estate accounts with accuracy and clarity
• Providing support to non‑probate staff as needed
• Preparing self‑assessment tax returns
• Submitting forms for trusts
• Registering trusts and estates
• Monitoring trust anniversaries and ensuring timely reporting
• Engaging directly with probate, estate, and trust clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships via phone, email, and meetings
• Drafting client bills promptly and accurately
• Assisting Partners, Associates, and Managers with ad hoc tasks
• Performing general administrative duties as required

• Detail‑oriented and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in probate or tax services is beneficial but not essential
