Full Time LPN Position for Busy Multi-Specialist Clinic, located in Elon, NC.

We are currently seeking patient-focused individuals for a Licensed Practical Nurse Float position to support our Pediatrics Department. This position would be located at the Elon Kernodle Clinic location. Experience preferred but not required. EPIC experience not required, but a preferred plus. Schedule would be Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All candidates must be graduates from an accredited Nursing program and possess a current LPN license. BLS certification through AHA required.

• When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time.
• Plans, provides, and documents professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process, in accordance with physician/APP orders and established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the department manager.
• Promptly and accurately completes initial assessment including taking / recording weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and pain assessment. Asks chief complaint for visit, and updates allergies and medications in EPIC. Notes abnormal conditions.
• Collects and analyzes patient data, documents and communicates appropriately nursing actions taken and patient responses of the actions taken.
• Prepares rooms, patients and assist physician/APP with exams and procedures which may include but are not limited to: EKGs, suture removal, dressing changes, and vision screenings.
• Ensures medical records, labs, and x-rays are available for physician/APP’s review in EPIC.

All candidates must be graduates from an accredited Nursing program and possess a current LPN license. BLS certification through AHA required.

Certified PN or LPN with EPIC experience is a plus. Experience preferred but not required.
